Fact: The colon is an extremely important part of the digestive system and the immune system.

On the next page are pictures of colons taken in the clinic of people who thought they were in perfect health until their bodies told them otherwise.

Colon health is based on diet. There is no way around this fact. If normal regularity (more than one bowel movement a day) is a part of your daily routine, then you have every reason to be happy. Most disease, I've learned, starts with irregularity.

Other factors that can contribute to irregularity/constipation are addictions, a negative outlook on life, and a misunderstanding of the importance of being at your normal weight.
