Why do I put so much emphasis put on making changes? Consider this; No matter what you're coping with, be it depression or any other emotional challenge; the habits and beliefs you have in your life today are what got you where you are. Not all of them are keeping you from getting where you want to be; however, there may be some of them that are counterproductive. Learning which ones fit in that category and making the necessary changes can enable you to have the life you are seeking. You determine the amount of change you want in your life and the pace at which these changes take place. The first step in determining where you want to go is to get an understanding of where you are today. To do this I encourage you to complete the Health Questionnaire (this file is in the pdf. Format - if you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can get the software from www.adobe.com. It's free.) It is much easier for both of us to understand the present relationship you have between your emotional and physical health after you have completed this questionnaire. There are three principal techniques used in these programs. They are; 1) Emotional Freedom Techniques developed by Gary Craig. 2) Psycho-cybernetics - A technique developed by Maxwell Maltz, M.D. 3) The Dancing Algae Diet Plan. Emotional Freedom Techniques,EFT (EFT). Click on EFT to learn more. Psycho-cybernetics: In using this model, a person is encouraged to continue working towards their goal without having any concern for mistakes or errors in judgement, particularlly from the past. Each step in this process is viewed as a correction in changes made from the previous step. In other words, mistakes are not viewed as mistakes in this model. They are simply a part of the process of learning how to hit the target (reach the desired goal). Dancing Algae Diet: This diet consists of meat/grains, fresh fruit and vegetables (food guide), and clean (distilled) water. The goal here is to allow you to remove as much processed food as possible (up to 90% for some people) from your diet. This is only a temporary move and it has proven to be most effective. The reason this is true is because processed foods contain many chemicals and preservatives; not everyone is able to handle. Over time, this onslaught of indigestible ingredients can prove to be overwhelming. By removing as many of these chemical combinations as possible for a short period of time (three to six weeks) and replacing them with whole foods, the body has a chance to return to some sort of natural balance. (Note; When your body says; "These changes are coming too fast." Listen to your body and have a binge day [this means eating anything you want] This will not stop your progress when you commit to returning to the diet the following day and follow through with your commitment.) After this three to six week period, you will be able to start working on reintroducing many of these foods back into your diet. Also, your body will be quick to tell you if some of them may not be something you really want back in your diet. During this time you can be using EFT to help in working through this transition. Again I remind you, you are the expert, it's your body and your life. You have complete control over the speed of the progress you want to make in creating change in your life.
