A "Common Sense" Approach To Helping Relieve The Discomfort Of Chronic Disease.

If What You Are Doing (with respect to diet and exercise, etc.) Today Has Not Helped You - Why Do You Feel Continuing On the Same Path Tomorrow Will Help You?

Please note: I am not a medical doctor; however, I have been able to help others and myself by using what I call: A “Common Sense Approach" to chronic health concerns.

When I started on this path (1985), I was faced with many of the same concerns I hear from others. One of the first things I did was to look at the standard (accepted) procedures for various concerns and try to understand Western Medicinexs goal in using a particular treatment. What I soon learned was the fact that the treatment, in many cases, did not fit the health concern. This caused me to question the very basis for following some of the suggestions (prescriptions) that are offered by Western Medicine. An example I can offer is this: I suffered from chronic nasal congestion for almost twenty years. The medical doctor I was seeing told me to use an OTC medicine to clear up the concern. I followed his advice and did so. The congestion continued to get worse. I went back to the doctor and he said he could drain the sinus area to help clear up the concern. I was not very happy when I was told how the procedure worked and the fact that it was only a temporary solution. I decided to do some research on the subject of sinus congestion. After a few days at the library, I found a book that talked about many foods that contribute to forming mucus in the body. At the top of the list was "milk". Milk! - I had been told all by life that milk was the most perfect food on the planet. Wow! To make a long story short, I quite drinking milk and stopped eating any dairy products and in three days, my sinus congestion started to clear up. Today my sinuses are clear and I can breath freely.

After this experience, I started to develop my "Common Sense Approach" to healing many of the concerns I had at that time..

One more example is this; I constantly see advertisements on TV claiming to help people with joint pain/back pain, etc. The information almost always suggests that you "Talk To Your Doctor". I know these drugs work in covering up the problem as I have used them in the past; however, they do not address the primary problem. What I have learned using my “Common Sense Approach” is that drinking clean (distilled) water works a lot better; it has no side effects, and is much less expensive. What I had to do was stop drinking the contaminated (tap, filtered, or bottled) water. I no longer have any joint or back pain and i am much older today than I was at that time.

I could list many more examples involving water, foods, and supplements. What I encourage you to do is learn as much as you can about the body's ability to heal using natural remedies. Why? Because drugs (patented medicine) are almost always only able to disguise the problem.

Proper exercise is very important when faced with these conditions. The key word here is "proper". Not knowing the proper exercises and trying to exericse without skilled guidance can result in even more damage to the affected joints.
