Treating depression with natural supplements and Energy Psychology Techniques
|

|
I encourage anyone coping with depresion, PTSD, etc., to explore the possibility of using natural whole food supplements and Energy Psychology Therapy to help overcome this challenge. I'll grant you, this is a different approach. Why have I chosen this approach? Because it works!
Many professionals working in mental health treat our physical and psychological aspects as being separate. I believe quite the contrary. I see them as being entwined and to treat one part and ignore the other, I feel, is counter-productive. I've spent many years and dollars searching for the health and well-being I enjoyed as a young man. At the same time, I approached my physical and emotional needs as separate issues. After repeated failures, I began to realize my physical and psychological health is inseparable. When I was willing to approach my body, mind, and spirit as a whole, I began to experience the success I was seeking. The success I'm enjoying today, as a psychotherapist and fitness counselor, and this web site are testimony to my conviction that this approach works. There is no doubt in my mind other approaches have had, and will continue to have limited success; however, I was unwilling to settle for just finding some parts of the puzzle. I wanted to complete the whole picture, to regain my physical and emotional health and well-being. (Here is an account of a persons experience who was happy with part of the puzzle. I find nothing wrong with this approach, it just didn't satisfy me.) I invite you to explore this information and learn what is possible. When questions arise, make a note of them and send an e-mail or give me a call. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. |

| *Depression: When coping with any type or level of depression, I find it impractical to attempt to treat the depression without taking into account the factors such as diet, muscle tone, and stamina. My approach includes; 1) working with your diet, 2) adding supplements as needed, 3) and including some form of exercise when practical, 4) along with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). These steps can make a positive difference in your ability to conquer your depression.
What changes may be needed can be determined after you have completed the emotional/intestinal health questionnaire and have had your initial session. If you like, you can download all the information needed from this web site. After reading and completing the questionnaire and mailing or faxing it to the office, a time can be set up where we can explore the possibility of working together. There is no charge for the initial twenty minute session. Programs; options/levels. |

Supplements: Aphanizomenon flos-aquae Algae (AFA): A nutrient dense whole "Super Food", harvested from the wild; it contains a rich source of vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. It also has the ability to help the body regain balance (good health). By providing the body with the nutrients it needs, it can have the ability to cope with the imbalance that could be helping to create the depression. Blue Green Algae: AFA is often called Blue Green Algae because of its blue green color. It's still AFA Algae. Chia Seeds: A whole food that grows in the southwest of the United States and the Northwest of Mexico. A powerful source of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and fiber. By increasing the amount of fiber in the diet, it is possible to regain control of their regularity This is an important step in regaining balance and moving away from the throws of depression. Capsicum: Capsicum comes from very hot cayenne peppers. Cayenne has the ability to stimulate the body in various ways thereby increasing circulation. Increased circulation can translate into better health. Good circulation makes it difficult for a person to remain in a depressed state. Caprylic Acid: Cayprylic acid can be very helpful in controlling sugar cravings for some people. High sugar intake can be responsible for a persons cravings being uncontrollable. This can also be a sign of candidia infestation. Depression is often a side effect of candidiasis. MSM: MSM is needed in every cell in the body. We get very little MSM from natural sources because of the high amount of processing involved in today's diet for the average person. Increasing the amount of MSM in the diet may be very helpful for people coping with depression. Mineral Ascorbate (Vitamin C): Mineral ascorbate is another important nutrient that is lost to food processing. It is a powerful antioxidant and can be very helpful for people who have difficulty maintaining regularity. It is not uncommon for people who are coping with depression to have concerns with regularity. Co Enzyme Q-10: Co-Q-10 is said to be the spark-plug for cellular energy. Knowing this, it's not difficult to understand why it could be a very important nutrient when you are trying to regain good health and well-being. |
