Bill Cooper's Story

I'll have to go back a few years to really put this story in perspective. I started running in 1976. I was 47 years old. Seven years later, I ran my first marathon in Fort Collins, CO. (Rawhide Marathon, 1983). I was an active runner all the way up to August of 1988. It was at that time, while I was running up Pikes Peak that I was given the bad news. I felt my running days were over.

I was about three fourth's the way to the top when a sharp pain hit me in my left hip. I had to stop. It hurt enough to make me consider dropping out of the race. I would have to ask for help down the mountain. (I still had over a 1,000 feet of vertical ahead of me.) I rested for a few minutes and found that if I didn't put to much weight on my left foot I could handle the discomfort. That is the way I finished the race. It was a sad day for me because I was sure I'd never be able to take part in this race again. I was just getting to old! I had been told by my doctor that x-rays showed some heavy calicum deposits in other areas of my body so it wasn't a big surprise for me. I was just hoping this would not happen for a few more years.

I stayed active by riding my bicycle and hiking. Every once in a while I'd even go out and run a short distance. Each time, when I woke up the next morning, I'd pay the price for running. My hip would hurt so bad I would walk with a limp, sometimes for a couple of days. I tried everything I could find in hope of being able to run again. I tried supplements, I tried different diets, I tried several different therapies, nothing really made a difference. Then in the fall of 1993, my friend Don invited me to go with him to a health fair in Denver. We looked at a lot of new products an learned about more new therapies.

I left my name and address with several people and asked them to send me more information on their products. One of these people sent me some information AFA Algae. I tried the product and in about two weeks I could notice a difference. I was healing! As they say, the rest is history! I started on the AFA Algae in April of 1994 and by April of 1995, I was training for the Triple Crown of Running. The first race was the ten mile run in the Garden of the Gods. (The shot above was taken right before I reached the finish line.) I completed the Triple Crown that year and placed second over-all in my age group. Yes, this includes the run up Pikes Peak, the run I thought I'd never be able to do again and I did it feeling great. I can honestly say; "AFA Algae Works"! Yes, I had to continue to improve my diet, adding acidophilus and enzymes. These produdcts helped my digestion. I had to go through all the work of rebuilding my strength to be able to compete in the events again. Standing at the top of Pikes Peak after the race and feeling as good as I did made everything worthwhile. I was a very happy guy. (The race was on Saturday, August 19th, 1995. My time was 4hrs.-18minutes.)

I can also tell you that I woke up Sunday morning a bit stiff; however, there was no discomfort in my left hip. I felt just as good as I had all during the training. Wow!

Today, in my 77th year and I'm still having fun with life. Call or write me if you'd like to learn more.
